Ingredients
2 Soft deli roll
Sliced yellow onion and bell pepper (optional)
1lb Thin Sliced Prime Ribeye
Salt and pepper or Savenor's Za’atar
6 slices deli provolone cheese
4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Servings: 2 cheesesteaks
Instructions
Slice yellow onion and bell peppers thinly, about 1/4 inch thick
Heat a 9 inch sauté pan on med-high heat, for two minutes, add 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil and add onions and bell peppers to pan.
Sauté thinly sliced onion and bell pepper in oil over medium-low heat, add 1/4 teaspoon salt. Until lightly browned then transfer them to a large dish and set aside.
Using the same pan heat pan on med-high heat, for two minutes, add 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
Add the sliced prime ribeye to the hot pan. Add a little bit Savenor's Za’atar or salt and pepper, or your favorite all-purpose seasoning. Stir the onions and bell peppers back into the beef when the steak looks about halfway done.
Layer cheese slices on top, and let the cheese melt over the steak. Turn off the heat.
Use tongs to mix the melted cheese throughout the beef and veggie mixture and it’s time to load up your toasted deli rolls!
